Etymology

The word champloo comes from the Okinawan word “Chanpurū”. Chanpurū, alone, simply means “to mix” or “to hash”.

Hey there.

This blog is a simple mashup of my life in London working as a PR in the music industry, the copious amounts of different things I find interesting, and a portfolio of sorts for my journalistic endeavours (I freelance for Dazed & Confused and Notion magazines).

The majority of it will be music-based, but you’ll find other bits and bobs that’ll hopefully tickle your fancy.

Peace,

Ian.
